Laughter right now is more important than ever.
I wish you all well as we all find ourselves adjusting to the very strange times we find ourselves in. I am still laughing lots as I have learnt to laugh in the face of adversity thanks to my practice of laughter yoga and the benefits of laughing are more important now than ever!
For those of you who know me, I am self employed and I work with various holistic well-being tools mainly laughter yoga and gong bath meditation. I ran my last event, a gong bath meditation on 14th March when I made the decision to postpone all my events. I cancelled laughter yoga classes earlier in March. I realise now more so than ever how important my work with laughter yoga is going to be and thanks to technology it is still possible to come together for a laughter boost and the benefits are incredible, see some reasons to laugh below!
As this is such an important time to be laughing I have decided to run some online laughs for members of the public. All you need is a computer, tablet or a phone where you can see me!
I ran our first session on Sunday and it was so well received and so very much needed. I have received so many emails asking for more so I have decided to run weekly sessions going forward.
For the public sessions, there will be an option to donate something to me for running the session. You can do this in advance if you like via https://paypal.me/londonwellbeing?locale.x=en_GB or after the session if you prefer. If you can afford to donate towards the session then I would totally appreciate your support however if you need a good laugh and you cannot afford to I invite you to come along too.
Follow the instructions to join us. This will require you to register your details in advance and I will send you the password to enter.
The benefits for us right now are more important than ever so thanks to technology the laughs can go on.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
I will also share the link for anyone who would like to make a donation to me which is optional and down to affordability.
- Lifting our mood
- releasing stress
- helping us to feel less anxious
- increasing our pain threshold
- strengthening our immune system
- taking us away from everything to just laugh
- laughter is a naturally mindful activity
- great breathing exercises
- having a jolly good laugh feels fabulous
Any questions at all, feel free to get in touch.
PS my laughter yoga training has been postponed for now. Laughter Yoga International have made it clear that they do not endorse online certification although they totally encourage us all to use technology to run laughter sessions during these times. I must say I totally agree with that as I feel learning how to lead laughter yoga needs to be done in person so we will just wait until we can.
If you are working from home and find the sessions beneficial, please do pass my details on to your HR or team leader as I am going to be running zoom sessions for businesses.
PS If you work for the NHS and feel your colleagues will benefit from a zoom laughter session, get in touch I am going to be donating a few sessions to those front-line workers who are risking their lives for all of us.
Have a fabulous day and remember to keep on laughing as it will help.
