This 2 day certified laughter yoga training course will equip you to start running laughter yoga workshops for groups. You can also start a community laughter club which is an ideal way to gain experience.

The laughter yoga leader certificate will enable you to obtain insurance for facilitating laughter yoga workshops.
The certificate is endorsed by your trainers and Laughter Yoga International University.
Your trainers have partnered to offer their combined experience and skills for this unique training experience.
Upon successful completion of laughter yoga leader training, you will receive your certificate. Yey :-)You will also receive membership to Laughter Facilitator Support Network aka LFSN, facebook group for Laughter Facilitators where you can connect with other Laughter Yoga Leaders and Teachers.

If English is not your native language then ask us if we can obtain a pdf manual in your native language. We train many new laughter yoga leaders from across Europe and one of our leaders is running a class here in London in her native Lithuanian language.
At the end of the two days you will, upon successful completion, receive a Laughter Yoga Leader certificate enabling you to get appropriate insurance in order to run laughter workshops as well as allowing you to call yourself Laughter Yoga Leader.

Odette, our Laughter Yoga Teacher has a background in various Holistic Therapies including Laughter Yoga, Laughter Facilitation Skills, Energy Healing (Reiki Master), Sound Healing ( Gong Master) and Mindfulness and Meditation teacher. Known for her caring nature which includes random acts of kindness and offering a warm heart, a pair of socks and a woolly hat and conversation to homeless people. She works full time running her wellbeing and training company, Laughter Yoga Wellness London and UK and London Gong. Going further back, Odette worked a 9-5 in I.T so she is a shining example that change is possible.
She has worked with Charities, Community Groups, Banks, NHS, Media Companies, Cancer Patients, Homeless People, Universities and more. From private parties to Small, Medium and Multi National Corporations. Laughter Yoga has been life enhancing for Odette and now she wishes to spread the joy by training others to connect with more joy and laughter.
Course fees are not refundable although a course may be transferred to a friend who fits the training prerequesite. Please contact us if you wish to transfer your space. In the event that the training provider cancels, a full refund will be made.
Laughter Yoga Residential Training Retreat Glastonbury May 2018
Laughter Yoga Leader Training retreat in Glastonbury with Odette and Morag
Exciting opportunity to fully immerse yourself in Laughter Yoga Leader training. I will be collaborating with guest teacher Morag who is based in Scotland so a real treat us coming together for this special training retreat way down South in the South West of the UK.
Would you like to learn the skills to spread the wonderful gift of unconditional laughter amongst family and friends, start your own laughter club or use laughter yoga in your workplace? Or maybe you just want to bring more laughter into your own life? If so, this training is for you.
This retreat will take place in the beautiful Shekinashram, a holistic yoga centre in Glastonbury. It is a peaceful oasis located within walking distance of both the town centre and the Tor.
Arrival after lunch on Friday 4th May at 2pm till Sunday 6th May at 5.30 pm (It’s a bank holiday, why not stay on in Glastonbury an extra night 🙂 )
The retreat will include optional extras which are designed to complement the laughter yoga leader training with a view to enabling participants to relax, let go and fully enter into the training as well as take time out from their busy lives and immerse themselves in nature.

Ongoing support after your training.
Following a successful assessment at the end of the training, the participants will be certified as Laughter Yoga Leaders and given a certificate which will enable them to obtain insurance to run a not-for-profit Laughter Club.
Laughter Yoga was developed in India in 1995 by Dr Madan Kataria and is a unique concept which enables us to laugh for no reason without the need for humour, comedy or jokes. Through the use of laughter exercises, eye contact, childlike playfulness and yogic breathing, we convert pretend laughter into real, hearty belly laughter. In this way our bodies produce lots of endorphins instantly raising our mood and lowering our stress levels. Laughter has many other benefits including stimulating the immune system, making us feel lighter, more energised and happier.
• Visit to the Chalice Well and Gardens (admission included) on Friday afternoon.
• Friday evening dinner together.
• Optional bajan/mantra singing on Friday evening.
• Walk up Glastonbury Tor on the Saturday – with an intensive weekend. indoors, it’s important to take time out in the fresh air to re-energise.
• A chance to join the Ashram’s regular morning meditation – the opportunity to enjoy some silence, to ground and centre yourself before the day’s laughter programme.
• Joint sound bath run by Odette and Morag – relax and allow the sounds of gong, singing bowls, drums, wind chimes to entrain your brainwaves into a state of deep relaxation.
The retreat format means you can fully immerse yourself into the training without having to worry about travel/meals etc.
Cost is fully inclusive: full board basic accommodation, herbal teas and vegan snacks, training course fee and materials as well as extras such as a visit to the Chalice Well and gardens (entrance fee included) and regular ashram activities.
Accommodation will be in twin rooms with shared bathroom and toilet facilities. Rooms are allocated at the time of booking.
Glastonbury is a beautiful town in Somerset with an eclectic range of shops, cafés, a ruined abbey, Tor, Chalice Well and gardens. In recent years the town has become a place of pilgrimage for visitors of faiths other than Christianity. The reputed healing powers of the White & Red Springs have always attracted visitors and in more recent years there has been a revival of interest in Glastonbury as a centre of alternative beliefs. Its shops reflect this with a host of crystal shops, alternative bookshops, music, clothing and others.

Morag Wylie is a Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, Transformational Breath Facilitator and Sound Healer. Over the past 8 years she has worked with hundreds of clients through 1 to 1 sessions, groups and training events. She has been running Falkirk Laughter Club for 2½ years, has taken laughter to many groups in her local community including working with Disabled adults, visually impaired people, those affected by mental health issues, children and older people. She has been running laughter yoga leader trainings since 2016. She loves to empower people to live happier and healthier lives.

Laughter Yoga never ceases to amaze me and I continuously hear more and more stories about how incredible this very powerful tool is for so many people.
Laughter Yoga is and has helped colleagues, participants and clients. In this blog I share just some of their amazing experiences and stories.
One lady, I will refer to as “N” who suffers from bipolar sent me such a lovely email of how laughter yoga is helping her. It brought tears to my eyes when I read it. I know it is helping her and she very rarely misses a class but to receive her heartfelt email was just beautiful.
Laughter Yoga helps with Bipolar
“How can I describe laughter yoga? To me it is an invaluable happiness tool. I started laughter yoga about a year ago and have been a strict devotee since then. Every session brings me much joy and lifts my spirits by allowing me to laugh and play and regress back to childhood silliness. I have bipolar and have found laughter yoga a fabulous tool to lift my spirits when I’m feeling really down. Even when I feel fine, laughter yoga lifts you up and brings peace and calmness of mind. Odette is a fabulous leader whose laughter and joy for her work is infectious.”
Laughter Yoga reconnects us to laughter and joy
A guy I will call “George” also a regular at class. When he first came along I wondered if he was enjoying the class as he looked somewhat awkward and he was the last person I expected to come back again but then I received an email from George keen to know when the next class was. He had realised how he had become stuck in his intellect and had actually forgotten how to laugh. G had found the laughter yoga really helpful in reminding him how it felt to laugh. Regular Laughter Yoga classes helped George to reconnect with laughter and joy. The more we laugh, the easier it flows 🙂 Just like turning a tap on that has been off for some time. From this situation, I also learnt not to make assumptions about anyone’s experience and just because someone may look awkward at their first laughter yoga experience, one never knows what they are really experiencing and feeling inside. Laughter can be a very complex emotion and once we allow ourselves to push through our comfort zone, magic happens.
Laughter Yoga for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and ME
Celia arrived at class having been recommended Laughter Yoga by a forward thinking GP 🙂 C has been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS which is also known as ME or myalgic encephalomyelitis) and C is also suffering from anxiety. She has not missed a class yet and has been coming along for a few months. I can certainly see a huge rise in her confidence. I wish I had taken before and after photos 🙂 We have a chair on hand for C so she can take a seat anytime during the class. Most of the exercises work well for those who are seated. C is enjoying the classes and I am really hoping she keeps with the LY as I have many colleagues who have remarkable stories of how Laughter Yoga has helped with ME.
Laughter Yoga as a Creativity Boost
Another one of our regulars, I shall call M. M just loves to Laugh and comes along to do just that and he often also joins us at our after laugh socials. A few months ago we had a fabulous group of laughers and the laughter meditation was a very very long one, truly very powerful. M totally reached that point of catharsis which is an incredible release and very powerful in it’s own right. So when M got home his writing just flowed. M is a script writer and he had reached a bit of a block with this particular script. The laughter yoga had helped to boost his creativity and got his creative juices flowing once more.
I also see many many changes with our regulars, far to many to mention but the most obvious one is how their confidence grows with regular laughter yoga practice. It is literally like seeing a flower bloom, just incredible.
So many of our regulars come along for help with anxiety, depression and probably most common of all Stress. Almost everyone mentions how they feel better and less stressed after a laughter yoga session or class.
